This is the image for the news article titled AP EnvironmentalRecently, our AP Environmental Science Class traveled to Muller Field Station at the south end of Honeoye Lake, one of the smallest of the Finger Lakes, and spent the day exploring outside. Students paddled to the lake, up the inlet channel, and observed many signs of the large diversity of animals that live there, including Beaver, mink, otter and waterfowl. They also assessed the health of the water using benthic macro invertebrates and the biotic index method. They wrapped up the day by assisting with collecting photographs from one of their many trail cameras, which they use to track wildlife on site. The class was able to see photographs of bobcat, bear, beaver, otter, fisher, fox, deer, skunk and several other animals captured by the camera.
